Kielbasa and Sauerkraut
Everyone simply must try this Doc Pickle approach to your classic Kielbasa and Kraut! There is something about Doc Pickle's Fresh Barrel Sauerkraut in this dish that can't be beaten by any store bought bag of kraut!
Ingredients:
- 1 quart of Doc Pickle's Fresh Barrel Sauerkraut
- 2 pounds of smoked kielbasa sliced 1.5 inches
- 1 tablespoon of caraway seeds
- 1 chopped apple
- 1 diced sweet onion
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 cup of apple cider
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Directions:
- Place all ingredients into slow cooker.
- Mix thoroughly until brown sugar has no clumps.
- Cook at High for 4 hours or Low for 6 to 7 hours.
